Q – What does CARES do?
A – CARES' mission is to benefit patients served at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center by adding comfort to their hospital stay and providing services that help the patients access quality health care.
Q – What is the best way to contact CARES?
A – Please feel free to call our office at (323) 409-6941 during normal office hours, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. CARES can also be contacted via email at lacusccares@gmail.com
Q – Where is your office located, and what are your office hours?
A – The CARES Office is located at 1200 N. State Street, Room 1900. Our office is located on the 1st floor of Old General Hospital. Our office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Q – Does CARES offer services to other groups that are not affiliated directly with the LAC+USC Medical Center?
A – No.
Q – Does CARES reach out to the community and accept donations and volunteers to help with its mission?
A – Yes. Please refer to the website to get information on how to become a volunteer in the CARES organization. Contact Vivian Saldivar, Volunteer Coordinator, at (323) 409-6421. For the many ways that the community may contribute funds or in-kind donations, contact the CARES Office at (323) 409-6941.
Q – Does CARES provide healthcare?
A – No. CARES does not provide healthcare, but you may visit the LAC+USC Medical Center website for information.
Q – May I call CARES directly to request assistance with financial needs?
A – Unfortunately, CARES only accepts referrals for assistance needed from the Social Work Department at the LAC+USC Medical Center.
Q – When is it appropriate to call CARES requesting information about CARES Childcare Program?
